What we collect
Public business records. The business details shown on this site come from the Connecticut Secretary of the State’s open-data registry: name, ALEI, addresses, registered agent, principals, filing history and the business email on file. We refresh it daily and show it so you can recognise your own record. We mask the email on file unless you arrived from an email we sent to that address.
What you give us. Your name, email, phone, the corrections you make to the record, and the principal you name. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us; Stripe tells us the card brand, last four digits, and its fraud assessment.
Technical. IP address, browser type and time of your order (kept as evidence of your authorization), and whether our emails to you were delivered or opened.
How we use it
To prepare, file and confirm your annual report; to send the receipt and confirmation; to answer a payment dispute; and, only if you opt in, to remind you before next year’s report. We do not sell your information.
Marketing email
We write to businesses whose public record shows an annual report due or past due. Every such email identifies us, carries our postal address and a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing is permanent; we also stop writing if you reply “stop”, tell us the business has closed or been sold, or tell us it is not yours. We share do-not-contact requests with our affiliated services (NY Tax Center, FileMyPublication) so that a request to one stops all three.
Sharing
Stripe (payments), Resend and our email providers (delivery), the Connecticut Secretary of the State (the filing itself), and Vercel/Supabase (hosting). No one else.
Security and how long we keep it
This site and the links in our emails work only over HTTPS. Card numbers are typed on Stripe’s page and are never stored by us. The records we hold sit in a hosted database, and the administration area is password-protected and limited to MI TAX LLC staff. We keep an order’s records, including the authorization you gave and the State’s confirmation, for as long as needed to answer a payment dispute or meet legal obligations. Other personal information is deleted when you ask us to.
Your choices
Email support@ctfilings.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or use the preference center.
